With a planned trip to Leeds cancelled due to motorway closures - the net in the garden went up - within a minute the first Blackbird went in, soon followed by a Dunnock which was infested with fleas. I imagine that with the cold weather it has been roosting in an old nest from last year, hence the flea infestation.
A Fieldfare has been feeding in the garden for the past 2 weeks but always seemed wary of the net - until today...new ringing species for the garden.
An adult female -wing 145mm and weight of 86g.
Also in the garden the last few days sightings include Goldcrest, Chiffchaff and several Redwing.
